Chiropractic: It is a distinct science, art and philosophy dealing with the detection, location, control, and correction of vertebral subluxation. Chiropractic is a profession dealing with the cause, not the symptom.

Spinal Adjustment: An adjustment is the specific application of forces to facilitate the body’s correction of vertebral subluxation. Our chiropractic method of correction, done by hand, gives specific adjustments of the spine.

Health: A state of optimal physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. This can only be accomplished with a proper functioning nervous system.

Intervertebral Disc: The cartilage pad between each vertebra in your spine. Each disc serves as connectors, weight bearers, & shock absorbers, providing you flexibility and normal range of motion. Discs rely on proper motion, a pumping motion that brings nutrients into the disc and carries waste away, to remain healthy. This requires proper alignment of each bony segment in the vertebral column.

Vertebral Subluxation: A misalignment of one or more of the 24 vertebrae in the spinal column which causes alteration of nerve function and interference to the transmission of mental impulses, resulting in a lessening of the body’s innate ability to express its maximum health potential.
